My First Fashion Internship.. Part 2!

Chasing In Stilettos

IMG_0682

Right, so this weekend has been more than a dream. I spent the two days working with and being around India’s most famous and extremely talented designers and their stunning creations! What more could a fashion freak ask for!?

A lot of different shows and stories have fixed an image of what Fashion internships are probably like in our minds, but this was the complete opposite!

I worked with quite a few designers and their teams, Sabyasachi, Manish Malhotra, Shehlaa, Anushree Reddy, Anamika Khanna and Thahryalam. My favourites were of course, Manish Malhotra and Sabyasachi. Their collections were absolutely stunning and to die for!

Aashni&Co did an amazing job putting the show together and it’d be wonderful to have more shows like this, more often rather than the usual Fashion shows!

Yash Chopra Tribute – Stars walk the ramp

Yash Chopra. The legendary filmmaker who gave movies a whole new different look in Indian Cinema… Someone who portrayed romance like no one else could. Someone who was loved by many not just over India but around the world.

Yash Ji sadly passed away last year on the 21st of October at the age of 80, recently on his 81st birthday  his wife Pamela Chopra organised a fashion show featuring SRK and Yash Ji’s leading ladies. Rekha, Sridevi, Madhuri Dixit, Juhi Chawla, Rani Mukherji, Preity Zinta, Anushka Sharma, Katrina Kaif and Parineeti Chopra all walked the ramp beautifully dressed in Indian attires whereas SRK was seen in a black suit.

After the fashion event the ladies and SRK himself shared a few moments and stories about Yash Ji and personally wished the legend a happy birthday. Reminiscing  the past days and expressing how much they each miss him.

Yash Ji, we’ll always miss you and your absolute wonderful creations! Jab Tak Hai Jaan.. Jab Tak Hai Jaan.

Indian Bridal Fashion Week 2013 – New Delhi

Indian Bridal Fashion Week is the biggest bridal Fashion event in India, anticipated by millions to spectate their favourite designer’s fresh new bridal collections! Now there are millions of blogs out there going through each and every designer, their collections and so on.. but I’m just going to list the few that I believe any girl like myself would go crazy over! Oh and before I start can I just say, I wish I was lucky enough to attend this event!!! 😦

Starting off with Shantanu and Nikhil – From what I saw, some of their designed outfits were absolutely stunning!  Whereas some didn’t really do much for me. I loved the use of their simple, white, gold, mustard colours and that one bright colour – red. The collection definitely gave out a modern look, for anyone planning on a complete modernised wedding.

Jyotsna Tiwari lit up the stage with her bright colours, but to be honest.. her designs didn’t really do much for me. Out of the whole collection only 2/3 outfits caught my eye;

Sonam Kapoor walked the ramp for Rohit Bal and she looked absolutely stunning! Now this I just kept staring at – Beautiful gold and white lehenga, the simple colours and matching jewellery complimented each other wonderfully, and Sonam certainly carried it off well!

I’m just going to jump straight to Tarun Tahilani‘s collection. MY FAVOURITE 😀 I actually can’t find the right words to describe his collection.. They were just…… something else. I’ll let the pictures do the talking 😛

Just how beautiful are they!? These are all just some of my favourites, if I had to pick one designer, it would for sure be Tarun Tahilani. Which ones were your favourite? or are you obsessing over them all like me? hehe

Like, comment and share your views! (I do like to know that I’m not posting all this just for myself lol :P)
